Groups

We have an increasing number of groups. As well as interest groups, we have supernumerary groups which support the operation of the u3a. Among those groups are the Committee, the Tea group, the Monday talk group, the Chairs group, the Website, the Visits and Trips.

It is essential to be a member of Abingdon-on-Thames branch of u3a before joining a group. This is for insurance purposes and to ensure there is capacity in the group for new members. Why not come along to one of our main meetings on Monday afternoons at the Preston Road Community Centre in Abingdon to find out more?

The majority of groups meet monthly, but some more often. Each group page will give more detailed information. Groups that are "out & about" often do not meet on the same day or time each month, so checking with the Group Leader, and the calendar in due course, is essential to avoid disappointment.

If you cannot see a group covering your interest and you're a lively minded person with an interest to share, and the potential to start and lead a new group, join Abingdon-on-Thames u3a and share your knowledge and skills -that's what u3a is all about!
