Science and Technology Group

Status:Active, open to new members
Leader:
When: On Wednesdays
Venue: Drayton Village Hall

The Science and Technology Group looks to cover a range of interesting topics in the broad area of S&T including Medicine and Engineering. We normally meet at 2.00pm on the first Wednesday of the month, February to July and September to November, at Drayton Village Hall, OX14 4LF. We offer a programme of talks about a variety of interesting subjects. The talks are not ‘heavy’ science but geared to people who want to know about what is going on from a generalist perspective.

Last year’s meetings included a number of our members giving talks such as Janet High on Medical Imaging, Peter Carson on Net Zero, Alan Dalziel on Programmable Logic Controllers and Peter Eatwell on Electric Vehicles and Battery Technology. In addition, we had a number of interesting external speakers.

If you are interested, please contact Kevin Honner.
